The year of 2018 we will be bringing you the: Summer House
This will be a new restaurant with extraordinary sea views looking over the incredible Perranporth beach, built on top of the cliffs.
80 covers inside & 80 outside, with it looking to be Cornwalls hottest spot this summer
History
It used to be the summer house for a wealthy local mine owner, Captain John Oates. He was the owner of the great Wheal Leisure mine which in 1870, was the richest copper mine in the district.
The house was purchased by Perranporth legend Pete Batchellors grandparents in 1924. Until recent years it was home to the Ponsmere hotel, which unfortunately came to the end of a lifetime close to a century.
The menu
We will be using our beautiful surrounding to our advantage. With the brilliant local fishermen & farmers on the doorstep, we won’t be short of the best ingredients around.
Opening dates
This stunning spot will be launching for summer 2018, specific dates yet to be confirmed
Carl Harding, Senior Associate Architect with Stride Treglown said:
“We are delighted to be supporting the Jobs in the development of these two exciting projects, following on from our involvement with the Dunes development. The team, based locally in our Truro office, are looking forward to visiting in the completed venues in the summer. Personally, as someone who grew up in Perranporth and still lives locally, it is great to see the investment being made in the town.”
Director Thomas Job said: “It’s almost 2 years now that we have been working hard on the preparations for this new project to launch this summer & I can assure you it will not disappoint. Cornwall has a lot to be excited about for 2018, this certainly is one of them.
Concluding for now
The finest chefs, mesmerising sunsets & views to die for.
An experience is about to be put forward that will be on par with no other.
