FREE EVENT Formed in late 2014, The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys strive to bring the sound and passion of Queen, live to a venue near you. Made up of five talented young musicians from various backgrounds they’ve spent time recreating and crafting Queen’s signature sound. By blending both Live and studio styles of the legendary bands greatest hits The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys manage to faithfully recreate the energy that gave Freddie, Brian, Roger and John their deserved status’. Having toured with their many other rock bands over the years, playing festivals like Download, Boardmasters, Hell fest and playing a massive amount of other venues across the country, they’ve learned their stage craft the hard way. Tim Kellow (Vocals) and Scott Lawlor started the band after their original band Everything Burns disbanded after a successful career, with the singing of a record deal followed by the release of 2 albums, they then decided they needed a change. Finding that a cover band was the thing that met their needs, the excitement of live performance without having to put in the writing hours giving them more time for their families. Dan Cook (Bass) had previously shot two music videos for Everything Burns and was also itching to get back to gigging so after a brief conversation the guys decided to recruit Jack Callow (Keys/backing vocals). After a few rehearsals the suggestion of playing a few Queen covers came up the guys reveled in the challenge and after a few more rehearsals the band sat down and decided to start off being a Queen cover band with the aspiration of being a full-blown function band soon after. Before they officially formed as a band, Beth, Emillie, Meghann would harmonise to everything that was in earshot, from songs on the radio, TV jingles, adverts to even the doorbell. They soon found their signature style with Emillie playing guitar, Beth playing the bouzouki/keyboard and Meghann drumming. They all join forces for harmonies and take turns on lead vocals. The band credit musical influences such as Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac and James Taylor, as well as newer acts such as Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, Fleet Foxes, Sigur Ros and The Civil Wars. Mac & Laura Mac and Laura, bring an uplifting blend of American and British alternative folk, with country bluegrass roots and harmonies that are rich and dynamic. The  husband/wife duo met in North Carolina 2012. September 2017 saw the release of Mac and Laura’s EP ‘First Light’ recorded with folk producer Andy Bell (Jon Boden, Seth Lakeman, Martin Simpson). CiiTTEN Cat Whatley, aka Ciitten, is a British singer, songwriter and musician based in Cornwall. Having moved to Cornwall from London, Cat has used her music to truly express herself. Her lyrics are unapologetically honest, drawing on personal experiences to create her 90s inspired melodies. Highlighting personal battles with social anxiety, she shares them with the world and helps bring mental health issues to the forefront. THE GRIZZLY MILLIONS Grizzly Millions – A three piece from North Cornwall delivering big melodies and cunning stories wrapped up with powerful riffs.  It’s kinda rock, but with a little bit of blues and a healthy dose of soul.  In fact you are best off coming to see us and making up you own mind. THE GRENAWAYS The Grenaways could be said to be mining the rich veins of inspirational ore that course through their home turf of Cornwall where they add a sense of their own ties to the region and especially it’s Celtic heritage. But, they are a band set for far wider horizons with a massive and alternative sound billowing through their musical sails.  They are rootsy storytellers, unique in the folk style, with songs that are rich in nautical undertones, influenced so much by the sea, its people and coastal living.
