Jeremy Loops is an award winning folk musician from Cape Town and will play the Watering Hole in Perranporth on Thursday 25 August. His debut album Trading Changed peaked at no. 1 in his native South Africa and was awarded MTV Africa’s Best Alternative album. Upon it’s February 2016 European release, the album charted in several territories, with notable Top 40 iTunes peaks in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland. The fast-rising Loops is widely acclaimed for his live performances, too. His major introduction to European audiences was in support of Twenty One Pilots on the European leg of their Blurry Face Tour in November 2015. This was followed by Continental Drift, his debut headline tour of Europe in January 2016. The sellout tour, drawing over 10,000 concertgoers, included highlight stops at Electric Ballroom and Melkweg The Max in the Netherlands. A follow up European headline tour in support of Trading Change is scheduled for October 2016, with several European and North American summer festivals, including Firefly (US), Osheaga (CAN), Concert at Sea (NED), A Summer’s Tale (GER), Gurtenfest (SWISS), and Bestival (UK) preceding this.
