The happy band of musical pirates is fronted by Liz with occasional guest/dep singer Jay, professional singers who have international experience with various chart topping bands including The Drifters, Mirage, The Four Tops) as well as being genetically perfect in all ways. Well endowed by a fantastic brass twosome on trumpet and trombone (Chris and MJ) the band invoke the spirit of Motown whilst easily slipping in and out of 70’s funky disco and 80’s dance classics. Driving the Motown bus is Zena, small but perfectly formed drummer extraordinaire and horizontally laid back (aren’t they all?) bass player Nicky. The line up is completed by the nimble fingered duo of ‘fingers’ Alex on guitar. Oh, and did we mention that all the band sing too? This makes the Motown Pirates quite unique as you really ain’t heard nothing like all of them in full flow – harmonies anyone?
