Josh Kumra playing Sunday 4th August-UK number 1 in 2011

‘In 2011, Kumra co-wrote and provided vocals for Tottenham-born rapper Wretch 32‘s highest charting single to date, “Don’t Go“, which reached number one in the official UK charts’

We are extremely excited to have Josh Kumra playing tomorrow at 2pm in the afternoon and 9pm in the evening.

A fantastic chap and an exceptional musician.

It is free entry and he is headlining at boardmasters on the Saturday

Hog roast Saturday sessions

What better way to start your Saturday evening off with a hog roast session, kicking off from around 5ish tonight.

They will be a regular thing now going on every Saturday afternoon to make your watering hole experience that little bit more enjoyable

7th Best beach bar in the world

Well with weather we are having at the moment, this place should be at least in the top 3 on the list, with some cracking events being put on including tag rugby and the new Thursday sessions over the last two weeks, there is a real good vibe bubbling around on this beach.

Being nominated as number 7 by the times and the daily mirror is something that we are extremely proud of and would go as far as saying that we are honoured.

Let the good times keep coming in and may the living the dream experience continue.

Salmon Sunset sessions

Try out our new menu, full with fantastic new dishes including this grilled Salmon with fresh green pesto. Served on sautéed seasonal vegetables

Rolling into Easter

Writing to you on this ice cold evening as our faithful search still continues for our first glimpse of summer. I have heard from our neighbors that it’s on its way, but the voice from Devon is never too reliable.

With an enjoyable show being put on by the Wurzels carrying us closer to the Easter holidays and many festive activities.

We will be open from this weekend through the week again and what a way to open the old beach bar, with Emerald rocking the place on St Patricks day, this is a day not to be missed. The gold at the end of the rainbow, the port in the storm, this is the start of something remarkable with the days getting closer peering into summer 2013.

Ocean Initiatives

Surfrider Foundation Europe organizes every year the “ocean Initiatives” where thousands of volunteers around the world get together to follow a common goal: fight against the raise of aquatic wastes that pollute the oceans and the beaches.

Operations to clean the beaches are organized on a voluntary basis during the week-end between the 21st and the 24th of March.

All the operations are listed on www.initiativesoceanes.org where you can either join an existing initiative or launch your own initiative in a few clicks. Thank you for your help!

Webcam up and running

[banner title=”Webcam flying” link=”Check it out” linkhref=”http://www.the-wateringhole.co.uk/webcam/ “]   [/banner]

What fantastic news this week with the webcam up and running, allowing a full rotational view of our scintillating scene.

What could be better than watching a sunset from the comfort of your home in this cold winter weather.

The news on this subject will get better when we are able to activate the webcam at high resolution, when the new high speed broadband line is fitted.

More news to follow with ‘the Wurzels’ with us in March and ‘Livewire’ the best AC/DC tribute around in April.

Stay tuned and watch this space.

Cheers for now
