Location great but that is all
Beautiful location however I don’t feel the staff could keep up with the amount of customers even though when we go to the bar to order our food we have to go up and collect our own food when an alarm goes off. Tables full of dirty plates and glasses. Toilets very grubby, restaurant was very grubby and the roast although looked lovely, was freezing cold! Such a shame as it has the potential to be a fantastic restaurant! Personally would lower the amount of covers you do so you can keep up with the demand and standard or employ more staff!

Awful roast
Awful Roast for £15 my partner had one roast potato and no gravy. Place was grubby. Toilets also disgusting! Terrible service from young girls.

A quick escape from a brief downpour!
Random title I know, but it's what made us venture into The Watering Hole; one minute you had sunshine and the next there was torrential rain and we were getting soaked! The Watering Hole to the rescue, where I would say 90% of the people on the beach at that time with us all ventured in there!The great thing about this bar is they welcome dogs, accept water will be on their floors (whether from surfers or those caught in storms), has plenty of seats and welcomes you what ever weather beaten state you are in!It was warm, dry and the price of drinks were reasonable, we had quick service considering the amount of people that descended into it too!The location is amazing, and the view you get from here too, there are no words to explain how magical and beautiful it is.Many thanks,

Hot chocolate and cake stop
After our Sunday morning stroll along the beach with the dog, stopped in for hot chocolate and cake. Huge queue for hot drinks, spent 10 mins waiting for them to take my order and another 15 minutes to get drinks. As I entered the building I realised we had made the correct decision to sit outside, due to the over bearing smell of stale urine. Building looking tatty, but really need to sort the smell from the toilets. This place is a money making machine, and really needs some money pumped back into it. Although your carrot cake was OK, it's not a patch on mine, and that's the husbands opinion, he rarely eats cake.

Great food with a self serve element was rather odd and bemusing very impersonal no courtesy check nothing.....very cold and abrupt bar service sent me away disappointed as this place could be awesome toilets were quite frankly disgusting some of the worst I've seen in a pub yes I know this place is on the beach but come on... if you could embrace the customers and show some common courtesy in a bar setting while doing restaurant service while fixing the dreaded toilets you would make a fortune based on the quality of the food! Food 4/5 service 1/5 ambience 2/5 cleanliness 1/5

Sunday lunch
When to order Sunday roast from the menu at £13.50. At the till wanted to charge us £15.50 each which we challenged. The girl went to ask someone and we were told they had put the wrong price list out and had to pay the dearer cost. Needless to say we walked to another pub in Perranporth

Wouldn't serve
Invited me and friend into bar, gave no impression of closing and allowed us to take a table. But when I went to order a drink I was rudely turned away. The barmaid on shift was prepared to serve me before a male member of staff at the back of the bar aggressively admonished her and I was then told last orders had been served... at 8 o'clock?? Even though bar was open until 11 and plently of patrons were clearly still drinking. This staff member obviously had an easy night planned for himself! I Needless to say we left immediately with no intention of returning. Utterly rude, no clue how to run a bar, and totally disgusting treatment of understaff. Wouldn't waste my money there.

Friday Night with Fleetwood Bac
Appalling Venue.Staging so bad that you are lucky to see the tops of the heads of the band.Audience where over 50% of the punters are not there to listen and spend the evening having shouting conversations with each other.Pointless place to go up you want to see and listen to a band.I feel sorry for the musicians who have practiced their art and then are plunged into cess pit of a venue.It’s dirty, poorly maintained and useless as a music venue if you want to listen and appreciate the musicians skill.

Disrectful to a disabled person looking forward to a nice nite out.
Fleetwood Bac we travelled to see and was treated with disrespect as I have a disability recovering from 2 total knee replacements.We was told to sit outside which no problem but I can't stand and can't get knees over bench so sat at the end of a vacant table.The person in charge was so disrespectful told me to get off the table like a normal person.This attitude was so wrong as to treat disability that you could not see but spoke loudly enough for other people who could see I was struggling

Few tips
Quite confusing as online there is a lunch menu, but when you arrive there is only one dinner menu. Quite pricey but the location makes it special. It’s a shame they haven’t taken note about the cheesy chips, I’d expect cheese to be melted on cheesy chips, but it was a portion of chips with some cheese grated on top - I’m not sure this counts as cheesy chips. Hopefully the reviews will be noted. The burgers however were delicious and really nice. The tables outside needed some TLC. Nice stop for a drink though.

It has options for Coffee, Pastey, Pizza, other food items and the liquor including beer. Options to sit inside and outside both are available. A toilet is available from the outside entrance. Dogs are welcome here. The food and coffee was good, however it is a bit expensive as expected due to the location. There is no parking available at the beach. You can park a car nearby parking and walk to the beach to access this restaurant.read less

Homemade tartar sauce. Light and crispy batter on the fish, hot fresh, no soggy bottom! Chips also fresh and a generous portion too. I also had a chocolate which was also quality. Perfect after a long dog walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sure the floor is a bit sandy, it’s on the beach and welcomes dogs, which for us was another winning feature. Yes of course it is going to have all of the problems of being a pub on the beach, with the slightly sandy floors, and the USP making the drinks a bit pricier, but the tables are immersively shaped, the views are great, the decor is very unique looking, and there was a lot of seating in and around the pub. The main area was ok, but the other more expanded areas just feel like kind of last minuite additions or recent exstentions to fit more people. Absolutely worth going to, but criminally underrated.read less
